How Can Clean Air Act Enforcement Effectively Mitigate Climate Change and Improve Environmental Justice Efforts?
Presented by: Energy and Environmental Law Forum
Co-Sponsored by: DC Bar EENR Community and Washington Council of Lawyers

Come join us at noon on March 23 for an exciting virtual (Zoom) panel to hear Mary Greene, the new Director of EPA’s Air Enforcement Division, share how EPA's Clean Air Enforcement efforts can help fight climate change and assist in reaching environmental justice goals!

From Western wildfires to more extreme hurricane seasons in the Gulf and East Coasts, to historic flooding in the Heartland, Americans are feeling the impacts of climate change.

Just over a year ago, the Biden Administration took office and embarked on an ambitious environmental agenda, with a strong focus on mitigating climate change and improving air quality in overburdened communities.

Join us on March 23 as we hear Mary Greene, the new Director of EPA's powerful Air Enforcement Division discuss what role enforcement of the Clean Air Act (CAA) can play in meeting these twin goals.

We'll hear about EPA's enforcement priorities, policies, and the role of enforcement in creating clear and enforceable EPA rules.

Ms. Greene will be joined by expert panelists: Patricia McKenna, Assistant Chief, Environmental Enforcement at the U.S. Department of Justice; Peggy Otum, Partner; Co-Chair, Energy, Environmental and Natural Resources Group at Wilmer Hale; and Keri Powell, Founder of Powell Environmental Law (a prominent CAA-focused NGO).

Don't miss this rare opportunity to hear a discussion of the future of air pollution enforcement. and how new priorities can both affect climate change and environmental justice communities.

Please spread the word and take advantage of this unique opportunity!
