NELA/MWELA DMV Regional Meeting With The DOL

NELA and its affiliates have been organizing regional meetings with the DOL Wage and Hour Division and the Office of the Solicitor’s regional offices to promote efforts to enforce wage and hour law.  The goal of the meetings is to cultivate relationships between the private bar and the DOL.  It is our hope that this will lead to better communication about amicus curiae requests, improved ability to refer clients to DOL, and other opportunities to assist in the DOL’s enforcement mission as our clients face growing obstacles to enforcing their rights.

There is an in-person component at DOL, and ability to participate remotely.

Visitor Entrance:

• Those attending in person should enter the building through the visitor entrance on 3^rd Street NW (at the intersection between C Street NW and 3^rd Street NW).
• Please send your name to [email protected] and [email protected] by EOD on Jan. 22, 2023 and please bring a government-issued ID. Laura Huizar will greet you downstairs by security to lead you to the room.
• Please arrive by 10:45 am so that we have time to go up to the conference room together.
