Litigation Skills Series: Making the Record for Appeal

Trial lawyers know: it isn't over until it's over. And it may not be over when the trial ends, because there's always the chance for an appeal. Experienced lawyers think ahead; they object, proffer, move and argue at trial so that their clients' rights to pursue an appeal are preserved in the record.
MWELA is a co-sponsoring organization for the Washington Council of Lawyers’ Litigation Skills Series: Making the Record for Appeal, on Wednesday, October 20, from 12:00-1:30 pm ET via Zoom. The training will be conducted by Sasha Drobnick and Lizzy Vogel from DV LEAP. They will highlight the steps from pretrial motions, through the trial, to post-trial motions, with a focus on public-interest practices but with tips that apply in all kinds of cases.
