This is a presentation that is geared for newer lawyers who have defended 15 or fewer depositions or lawyers who have not had access to more experienced lawyers to mentor them in deposition strategy. It will cover practical strategies for preparing for and taking depositions, including types of information to elicit from a deponent, creating an outline, questioning techniques, dealing with difficult witnesses, using exhibits, and dealing with opposing counsel.
