David R. Cashdan, Cashdan & Kane, PLLC. Began his career in employment law with the EEOC in 1965. For his work at the EEOC he received the Federal Bar Association’s national Outstanding Young Attorney Award. He left the EEOC to form the public interest law firm: Berlin, Roisman, Kessler & Cashdan. His practice of employment law now spans 50 plus years. During this period he served as MWELA’s Second President and has since continued to serve on its Board. MWELA honored him in 2013 as its “Attorney of the Year.” He was elected to the Board of the National Employment Lawyers Association in 2003-2015 and during that period served as its Treasurer, Vice President Public Policy and First Vice President. He was a founding member Board of the DC Employment Justice, is currently a member of the Board of Governors of the College of Labor And Employment Lawyers and a Co-Chair of the Chet Levitt Fund for Employment Law. His honors include being selected by his peers for Best Lawyers of American, Super Lawyers, and as a top employment lawyer by Washingtonian Magazine. He graduated from the University of Michigan Law School and is a Member of the District of Columbia Bar and the State Bar of Maryland.
