R. Scott Oswald is the managing principal at The Employment Law Group® law firm in Washington, DC, where he concentrates his practice on representing individual plaintiffs in whistleblower, qui tam and employment rights litigation. Scott is one of the few attorneys to prosecute a Maryland wrongful discharge claim to a winning jury verdict and to prosecute a Maryland retaliation claim to a winning punitive damages jury verdict. In addition, Scott’s firm recently secured an $819,830 verdict in a claim under the anti-retaliation provisions of the False Claims Act in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia. This was the first verdict secured under the anti-retaliation provisions since the 2009 FERA amendments.
